Maiden are relasing *another* compilation...Somewhere Back in Time : The
Best of 80-89 ( sadly featuring nothing from 80-81!! ). Nice to see another
Riggs cover for this one but is it really necessary? The press release says
how its for new fans but really, those early albums are so easy to pick up
cheap I don`t see the point in it.

Tracklist

1. Churchill Speech (0.49)
2. Aces High (4.36)
3. 2 Minutes To Midnight (6.00)
4. The Trooper (4.11)
5. Wasted Years (5.06)
6. Children Of The Damned (4.35)
7. The Number of The Beast (4.53)
8. Run To The Hills (3.53)
9. Phantom Of The Opera -- Live (7.21)
10. The Evil That Men Do (4.34)
11. Wrathchild -- Live (3.07)
12. Can I Play With Madness (3.31)
13. Powerslave (6.47)
14. Hallowed Be Thy Name (7.12)
15. Iron Maiden -- Live (4.50)

They're from the "Live After Death" album from '85.

It's too bad Iron Maiden (and many other bands) missed the boat on the short
lived SACD/DVD audio formats and didn't at least release this kind of
compilation if not at least their better studio albums on high resolution
audio. Now, as the cd format begins to die off, it seems fans are in for a
decade of compressed for portable device crap sounding downloadable versions
of their favorite bands' music.

Dance Of Death was released in 88.2 khz/24 bit dvd-audio. Better sounding than
the cd, but the music is so compressed, its not as much an improvement as it
should be.

I'm glad they got Riggs to do the cover, hopefully he's open to doing
the studio album artwork in the future..
