Nothing`s changing as per usual then. Once Maiden start touring they rarely
juggle the setlist at all.

What's the worst Maiden song that they continue to play all the time?
For me it's definately Heaven Can Wait. Bruce seems to like that song,
it does absolutely nothing for me though.

I agree. That one has seemed to be a staple of live set since Bruce returned to
the band. It's often the only representative from that album. I really wish
they'd put Caught Somewhere In Time or Sea Of Madness in its place. Anything,
really.

I`ve seen Maiden 6 times since Bruce returned and they haven`t played HCW
once! I like the song although I`d prefer CSiT or Alexander the Great. I
guess it`s that little sing a long bit in the middle that they like playing
it live for.

I was really hoping for Infinite Dreams on this tour, it`s one of my
absolute favourite Maiden songs yet I don`t think they`ve played it since
the 7th Son tour.

I just looked at the set for the two previous Maiden shows I saw (2000 & 2003)
and they didn't play it at either of those. So I misspoke. I must have heard it
on too many boots, or I've seen it listed in too many setlists on the interweb.
For some reason, I was under the impression it was often the lone representative
from that album. Maybe it was like this on the NPFTD and FOTD tours? Whatever
the case, I didn't want to hear it.

That reminds me, during Heaven Can Wait a bunch of people come running out from
behind stage and gather around Steve for the "whoah oh oh" part of that song.
One was clearly "special", and I thought maybe Steve was letting a group of
disadvantaged kids have a thrill onstage, but the rest of the people just looked
like regular concert goers. All men. Probably just fans who payed $500 for some
VIP experience.

Yeah, that would be nice. Which is why it would be really cool if they did a
strictly Powerslave/SIT/7th Son show. You'd get to add great tracks like
Infinite Dreams or maybe The Duelists. Losfer Words would be a nice live track,
and give Bruce a break.

Yeah, it was in the set for a long time at one point. They played it when I
saw them in `86, `88 and `90...I never saw them on the FotD tour but I`ve
just checked the boots and live albums from that period and they were still
playing it. Not sure if it was still in the set for the Blaze years, never
saw them during that time and the only boot I have is half a set.

I`m pretty sure it was in the `99 reunion setlist though...they never played
the UK then so I didn`t see it. It`s also in a 2003 boot I have from their
Give Me Ed festival best of tour, another that I didn`t see ( I think they
played Download in the UK that year which I never go to ). So it appears
they always pull it out for the retro tours ( Early Days aside for obvious
reasons ) but drop it on the new album tours.

That`s what I was hoping for when they announced this tour. I mean, sure,
I`ll have a blast seeing them bang out The Trooper, Number of the Beast etc.
again but I wouldn`t miss them this once. That said, I guess those seeing
the band for the first time will want those tracks, especially when they
hear it`s a "best of" setlist.

Definitely on the VXI tour because I watched a clip of it on YouTube a
few days ago. Blaze fucking BUTCHERED it, and that's being kind.

Unfortunately he butchered quite a lot of the songs from before he joined
the band.

Yup. By far the best song on that album, and the last true classic
from the band.

I mostly agree :-) Tailgunner however I can't agree with...
Childhood's End I like a lot but like a lot of FOTD it seems a bit
weak sonically and it's hard to rate it a classic.

They are mostly all good songs. Probably wouldn't call them "classics"
though, but a few are up there with Moonchild.

A good deal of them...not sure I`d rate Moonchild a classic! I much prefer
half of 7th Son to it...Infinite Dreams, The Clairvoyant, Only the Good Die
Young and the awesome title track.

Because you have no taste in music ;)

Infinite Dreams is the second worst song on the album, next to Can I

Infinte Dreams is one of my favourite songs of all time, not just Maiden,

Opeth have never recorded anything even *remotely* close.

As for the statement, I do not agree. Opeth have done many songs I
like more than Infinate Dreams. Not to say I don't like ID.
